Title: Can URL objects be created in folders, like was available in Cognos 10 and back?
Post by: rockytopmark on 02 Jan 2018 04:18:01 PM
In Cognos 10 and prior, there was functionality available to create URL objects in folders that would simply allow navigation to any URL... I believe the Icon was labeled "Create a New URL"

In the upper right hand corner of the Cognos portal page, click on the new URL icon to launch the "Create a New URL" wizard.

Does this functionality exist in Cognos Analytics?  I am not finding a way to do it if it is...

Thanks, M

I'm using 11.0.7 and it looks like IBM still hasn't figured this out.  You can copy a URL and update the properties.  If you have 0 URLs in your environment, I don't know how you would add one without hacking the Content Store database (dangerous).

I don't know about 11.0.8 or 11.0.9, but you can create a URL in Cognos Analytics 11.0.10.
