Title: How to allow a given report to use a different DB Signon
Post by: gohabsgo on 11 Dec 2017 08:04:57 AM
Hey Folks,
Each of our named users in our deployment has their own database signon, which allows for scoping of data to get them just what they need to see when they run reports.

We have one report however that our requirement is to run it a different DB signon which has no scoping and shows all data (Global Signon).

I've run into some issues when trying to get this working so that it only is applied to a specified report.  In order for the users to view the report with the Global signon I need to allow them to run it, but then when they run any other report they are given the option of running it as this global view?  We need it for just a single report.

I feel my answer may lie in the run options (with user's credentials, with owner capabilities or "As User X") but it still seems that I need to allow the user access to the global signon with any of these options which then gives them the option to run any report that way.

Hopefully this is clear and someone has an idea for us!

Thanks!
