Just tried to do an over the top upgrade in our test environment from 11.0.6 to 11.0.7 and after going through the install was required to restart the server which I did. Now when I try to launch Cognos Configuration I get: "IBM Cognos Products: cnfg has stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working...Close the Program." Any ideas as to what I'm missing? Our 11.0.6 version was working/running fine. Thanks!
Your crypto keys and cogstartup might need to be recreated or hopefully copied to your configuration folder from a backup. The over the top install wipes out the configuration files (at least it did for me on 11.0.6 -> 11.0.7) so that might be causing your issues as the Cognos service might not be connecting to your content store.
