I'm just wondering who uses this? IBM states this is a highly requested feature so I'd like to understand what people use this output for?

I have not had a need for it, but my understanding is that it would typically be for interface purposes. Here is a link to an RFE requesting it (you need an IBM ID to login to the RFE site).
