Client has Azure Analysis Services cube. This is an SSAS Tabular cube hosted as a cloud service in Azure. Otherwise, it is the same as an on-prem SSAS Tabular cube. Does Report Studio or Framework Manager support a connection to Azure Analysis Services? Does the latest version of Cognos Analytics support Azure Analysis Services connection? I'm having a hard time finding documentation on this topic. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not an expert on Azure Analysis Services. If it's exactly the same as SSAS on prem, I guess you'd be able to use XMLA to connect. I've never tried though. However, as far as I'm aware, IBM supports only the Multidimensional model for access to SSAS in Cognos Analytics - ie they treat it as an OLAP cube. I don't know if there are any plans to support the Tabular Model - that would be something you'd need to log a PMR to ask, I imagine.
