Sorry i couldn't find any document of that sort...I checked with the FM doc..it says import the functions i have no idea how to do that...For this i think i need to create some function in the database. if it so, then two things to get clarified..

1) How are decode, ltrim etc functions in the vendor specific fn visible in the list.

2) i want to include some functions like datetimetoseconds() into the function list.

Plz suggest me what to do...

When you import Metadata to FM you can import tables, views, synonyms, procedures AND......
Functions
there it is.... Is that what you were looking for?

No, i was not specifying that...I actually want to add functions in the functions list itself. If we import from the FM the functions defined in database can be imported. Now suppose i want to use a function like datetimetoseconds() in oracle. then i have to first write a function by that in database and then import. I don't want to do that...i want to add this function in the list of vendor specific function.

I could do this with the help of document provided by the cognos people. I have attached the same also.
