Title: In a Drill Through, Returning from a Child Report to its Parent Report
Post by: Cognos_Jan2017 on 29 Sep 2017 01:08:51 PM
Good video on learning Drill Through from ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mH-OBanfsOg

We now have a Parent - Child that works fine.  In the Child, there is a Value Prompt to select
other "Locations" of interest (one at a time).  The User can search MANY other "Locations".

Now ... what is the best way to return to the Parent Report from the Child Report?

Maybe another "Drill Through", but how would that call the name of the Parent Report?

TIA, Bob

There should be a back arrow icon (see attachment) in the toolbar at the top-left of the window.

No pic on the attachment, other than a left-pointing arrow.

Thank you, Bob

Got occasional Internet Explorer error requiring Closing Cognos, but ...
I can use the Value Prompt in the Child to select several different Locations.

Then, within the Child, click the "Title Bar" (its name?), then <Ctrl><W>, and it returns to the Parent.

Any experience w/ the above, or better way (s) for same result?

TIA, Bob
