I have a report originally written in Cognos 10.2.2 that behaves strangely in Cognos 11.0.6. When I update the Report property report styles to 11.4 the problem goes away, but I am still curious as this problem doesn't occur with other reports. FYI We are running in a Windows environment, using an Oracle content store with a gateway and app server.
The problem - when running the report in html, the paging seems to have disappeared, the top, page up, page down and bottom links are missing, and the logo at the top of the report doesn't display. When I open the report as an author and run it from within the authoring tool everything works fine. I have tried this in IE and Firefox with the same results.
Has anyone seen this behaviour before? What could be causing this?
Thanks
Are there any HTML items that might contain JavaScript or style elements designed to hide objects in the output?
No, nothing special at all. Just a simple list report with a header that contains a logo.
Can you export the xml of your report and attach here so that we can check?
I'm seeing and hearing of other cases of elements disappearing in C11, this might be an extension of the same problem.

I've only come across these sorts of issues in certain builds of IE, and I think it was caused by a security patch from Microsoft. It appears to have been taken care of in the CA R7 release too. Have you come across anything else Paul? Just curious... :)
MF.
I think you're right about the IE thing. All of the emails I have are about missing icons in IE, or can be traced to a bad upgrade to R7.
