There are some reports developed in Cognos 10.2.1 and I provide support. The prompt page loads normally when it's run from report studio. There is a html prompt button which when clicked, renders(cascades) new value prompts once selections are made. But when the reports are run from cognos connection, after making initial selections and clicking on the html prompt button is neither responding nor loading the secondary choices, sometimes the prompts are loaded with no data for selection. I tried reprompt button in place of html and of no use. All the reports were developed, tested and in production and were working fine and this is happening for all of the reports suddenly. With admin privileges, When the report is scheduled to run as report view, the prompt page loads properly and the reports are generated successfully but this does't work for a normal user.

Can you check the permissions of the Users that are having issues, for HTML Items in reportstudio and see if the user group is allowed to use HTML items?

Thanks New Guy.... Though that was not the exact solution...your reply reminded me to follow a similar approach. The user was added to windows active directory but not to the security tables in the database which was the 2nd part of the task in creating a user.
