Title: 11.0.6 IF1 connection to Microsoft Analysis Services 2016
Post by: Gero on 10 May 2017 04:47:11 AM
Hallo
I would like to create a Microsoft Analysis Services 2016 Cube. Microsoft Analysis Services 2016 is installed on a MS Windows Server 2012 R2.

Did anyone know, what to install and how to config the datasource Connection?

Thanks Gero

I've done it. Currently use SQL 2016 Enterprise with CA 11.0.6 on Windows Server 2012 R2. I'm using msmdpump in IIS, as there is not yet an ODBO SSAS 2016 driver supported by Cognos.

Speed/performance seems fine, which surprised me. I would've thought the ODBO driver would probably give better performance.

Anyway, it may also work using the SSAS 2012 ODBO driver, but I haven't tried that.

Gero/khanberg, I assume you've followed all the instructions as listed in:
