Title: Cognos for MS Office 10.2.2 IF1 - doesn't recognize existing links
Post by: redstang on 21 Apr 2017 04:07:09 PM
IF1 is supposed to add support for Excel 2016, and it does work but only for brand new spreadsheets.  When opening spreadsheets that have existing links to reports/queries, they do not appear in the plugin.  This is a serious problem for us as we'd have to relink many existing spreadsheets.

Wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem.

We have the same problem in office 2010 - add-in 10.2.2 doesn't recognise existing links (often it happens in power point + only some users have this problem). Any suggests?

Hello ,

I think that i 've same issue !
I'm working on cognos migration from 10.1 to 10.2 :
> Source : Cognos 10.1.1
> Target : Cognos 10.2.2
> Cognos Office 10.2.2 FP6
> MS Office 2016
> OS: Win10

Issue description:
> In Cognos Office 10.2 , When i try to open a pptx document (created under cognos 10.1) , it seems that my report is static .. no link with the source report and can't update report data.
Notes:
>  In Cognos Office 10.2 , There are no issues when i create / publish a new document ( excel , ppt , ...) into congos connection and try to upload it.

No, this issue specifically occurs in 10.2.2 when trying to open spreadsheets made with previous versions.
