HI Freinds,
Regarding Cognos 11.0.6 installation when i configure the easy install it works with Informix content store without any issues.
However With custom install I have configured the External Oracle database and tested Its Content store its fine
However when i restart the services its always getting an error as showned in below screenshot.
I have placed all the Jdbc drivers in Cognos drivers location .Then only connection is valid. But while restarting the services it s getting failed.
Could you please help why Oracle content store schema is failed while restarting the Cognos services? Please see the attachment.
Hi Team,
I am trying to fix the issue from a Week ago. But still I could not able to Resolve it..I have attached the cogserlog files.
Im getting an error while restarting the Cognos services. When i checked all the tabs everything is valid including the content store. It says DPR-CMI-4006 Unable to determine the active Content Manager. Will retry periodically.
CM-SYS-5007 Content Manager build 11.0.6.28 failed to start! Please see the attached log files and screenshots.
Plesae consider this as high priority and kindly support on this issue

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that this is some kind of Cognos support service. It is most decidedly not. Those of us who participate here are volunteers, generally contributing on our own time.
Have you consulted the Cognos server logs as the message told you? You have not included anything from there if you have done so. The problem may not be Oracle at all, but you would need to consult the logs to help make that determination.
Over the long weekend I saw your original posting and made some notes but didn't get around to posting my response 'til now as I got caught up in my work.
You're probably barking up the wrong tree. The fact that you can test the content store and not get an error suggests that everything's OK there.
I can't say that I've tried starting the cognos service from that node. I usually start it with the root node selected. I don't think that should matter though.
It would have been nice if I could see just a wee wee bit before the dispatcher error, but it looks like the dispatcher thinks that something is null when it isn't expecting that to be so.
Try going through the log files to see if there's anything more detail.

I googled the error and I found a fair number of things but these two might be particularly relevant.

Could you be kind enough to tell us about what sorts of troubleshooting you've done and what results you observed please. Also could you tell us whether either of the docs were identifying the problem.
