Title: Zero Suppression In Analysis (Cognos 8.2)
Post by: shri on 02 Dec 2007 03:36:25 PM
It looks like Zero suppression has been changed in latest version of Analysis Studio.(cognos 8.2). I am trying to remove rows which are completely zeros, but it is not removing instead it marks that row with small zero inside it.  Is there any way i can work around this, so that i can suppress all rows and columns which have zeros in it. They made it very difficult in this latest version, i don't understand why.

thanks heaps.

Hi,

You're correct- the zero suppression behaviour was changed for the 8.2 release.  To emulate pre 8.2 for rows, simply select the summary column (at the right-hand edge of the crosstab) and apply suppress zeros on that.  It will then remove any rows whose summary is zero.

Regards,

MF.
