I am using Cognos 10.2.1
I have the following Query
VM_STATE Count
active 389
stopped 23
I would like to create a Guage from this that has one needle for active and one for stopped.
Can someone tell me how to set that up?

1. Drag in a chart - select the Gauge type
2. Drag VM_State to the Gauge Axes area
3. Drag Count to the Default measure area
MF.
I did that and it works except it does not give separate needles for the VM_STATE type, active and stopped .
Just one needle for the total.
i bet you need separate data items for active and stopped.
or get the members/values of VM_STATE.

There must be more going on than you're telling us. Here's an example using the samples:

The report spec is included below
