Hi,

You can set a dashboard or a report as the default home page, based on security roles in either the Cognos namespace or your security namespace. Go to Manage > Accounts, select your namespace, then for each role go into Properties and select the Customization tab. You can specify the report or dashboard here.

Cheers!

MF.

Hi,

It's in the Properties pane for the role:

This is from Release 5 onwards...

I can see from your Welcome page in the background that you're on Release 4 (11.0.4). As I mentioned above, the Customization tab is available from Release 5 (11.0.5) onwards...

Not one I'm aware of. Upgrading to R5 or R6 is the way forward :)

In 11.0.6 use can create one custom folder per role. The custom folders act as custom tabs in the navigation panel on the left side of the screen.

Is there a particular capability for the use of "Customization tab" for roles?
I am at 11.1.5 i created a role under a folder in Cognos namespace. When i log in as a system admin, i can see the customization tab.
But when i logged in as a different user the customization tab is not present. I made sure the user i used has full permission on the role but still the customization tab only shows when i logged in as a system admin.

Not sure if there's a particular permission or capabilities needed for this.
