Title: Stating with geolocated map reports
Post by: sergiord2016 on 21 Mar 2017 01:20:44 PM
Hi ,

I want to create a new report with a map and geolocating data.

Please can you guide me with the first steps please?

I think I should create a table dimension with the name of the place and a column with the gps coordinates

Thanks in advance.

Lat/long often works. But a lot depends on what you will use as the map source, and what data you have available. If using something like Google maps, lat/long may be best. If you are using the built-in maps, they have data layers you can directly tie to your data, e.g. states.
