Just migrated to Cognos Analytics from 10. Migration went well, reports are functional. But we have a slight oddity. The drill-through definitions on some of our reports are configured to open in a new window per user request. When these reports do so, the new window is missing the new Cognos Analytics navigation and header. This means that the users then cannot run as an Excel or PDF.
The first solution I found for this is to not open drill-throughs in a new window, but I am anticipating some pushback from the users.
Does anyone else's Cognos Analytics lose the UI and header when drilling through to another report? Is there some setting to retain the UI?

I see the same behavior in 11.0.5. I wonder if it happens still in 11.0.6?

Yes, I am also seeing the same behaviour. The drill through link opens up Cognos Viewer - but with no functionality (i.e. top header) to run the report as a different output.
Did anyone find a solution or explanation for this yet?
We're also experiencing this. We're on 11.0.5. Just tagging in in case someone comes up with a solution.
Have you tried other browsers? Our consultant indicated that Firefox works better than IE.
It is no better on Firefox I am afraid. We are still searching, but there doesn't appear to be a workaround at the moment. Users who drill through to an underlying report in HTML often have to re-run that report as Excel - that functionality is no longer possible.
We have having to all new drill through links alongside the existing drill through links - just to add the open in Excel option. Not pretty.
Hi all,
It is working when you dill through from the report make sure you are running the report from front end. But if you drill though to a report from a saved report output (executed in the background) then the bar with options to download in other formats will disappear.
I am currently using Cognos Analytics 11.0.11 version
I hope others are experiencing the same situation. Please correct me if am wrong.
