Hi,
When I run my report in HTML it is looking perfect, but when the same is exported to excel then for some cells which have long data is splitted into 2 rows. I had similar issue in 10.1.1.
I found a solution to add a new property RSVP.EXCEL.XLS2007_ALLOW_WRAPPING_SINGLE_CELL with value as True in
DWH reporting administration -> configuration -> Dispatchers -> EventManagementService -> Environment
This solved the issue and the result is wrapped in single excel cell.
Now last week I upgraded to 10.2.2 and I applied the same setting, but this is not working now.
I found a work around to uncheck "Group repeating cells when exporting to excel" in report properties.
But this resulted into another issue. All the data is now wrapped into a single cell but leaving a empty row below such rows. Output in HTML looks perfect.
Now the question is, how I can remove empty rows when exporting into excel?
Hi,
Can you hide the data part and attach the screen shots of the excel output and report design where you are seeing the extra line?
Regards

Sure, see that attachment.
I pasted both reports output in a page. Top section show the default behaviour, where G6 and G7 is a single record in cognos DB, but in excel it split into 2 rows. Since this sheet is used as input to another tool, so the requirement is that all data should be in a single cell.
When I applied the above solution of unchecking group repeating cell when exporting to excel, data is wrapped into single cell but it left a blank row behind.
Hi,
Did you try suppression on the List properties? and also try to filter out null values one column at a time.
Give it a try. Meanwhile I will try to mimic the issue on my side.
Good luck

Have you tried setting the whitespace for the column breaking? Try setting it to "no wrap"
New_guy : I tried suppression but issue not resolved even when I checked all options. I tried missing values also. Not sure how filtering will work as the issue is occurring when exporting the data into excel. But I tried to put filter on 1 column to not show field if value is missing, still no luck.
Deep : setting whitespace to no wrap did the trick.
Thanks everyone for response. This thread can be closed now.
