Title: Bulk testing data source connections
Post by: hardstep on 20 Mar 2017 06:19:59 AM
Hi there
Does anyone know of a way to bulk test data source connectivity in Cognos Analytics ?.
I have a lot of data sources (100+) setup in my content store (powercubes, SQL databases, TM1 data sources etc) that have been migrated over from Cognos 10.x previously. I would like to try and identify which data sources connect successfully and which do not (with an aim to fix or delete the ones that do not connect).
I know I can do this manually - but with over 100 sources I was hoping for something a little more automated.
Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick,

If memory serves, bulk data source validation is something you can do in Metamanager. Hopefully Andy will be along shortly to confirm... :)

PS - I like the new avatar photo. What a handsome chap you are :)
