This is for Cognos Analytics 11.0.5.
I have the GO Sales samples installed and I'm having a problem with the Framework Manager model showing in the data sources when a user uses the New icon/plus sign and selects "Create Report". When they try to add one of the Go Sales packages as a data source the model isn't loaded so they can't select any data to add to the report.
When they use other packages it's fine and the model shows as expected.
Also, it works when users navigate to a GO SALES package and select "Create Report".
Any ideas? I've reviewed the security on the packages and it looks just like the other packages that are working properly. It's as if a new report created using the New icon can't access the framework model data to display it.
Could you test using a different browser? The fact that they can open it from the package but not using the ( + ) icon leads me to believe it's not related to security.
Does this happen to all users?
If it's still happening in a different browser, try deleting the contents in <c11>/data/cqe/RTModels.
Re-publish the packages directly from FM. What happens?

I cleared out the cqe folder which didn't do anything by itself but I re-published the packages from Framework Manager.
I had an issue with the packages and was getting a BMT-MDC-0001 error. The problem was in the package deployment definition - the selection of the objects in there was messed up. For example, at the root level there was a check mark even though several items below it were not selected (x).
So I renamed the deployment file and then created a new definition with the old name. I renamed Go Sales (query) to Go Sales (query) - old then I created a new deployment and named it Go Sales (query). That deployment works properly within the Cognos Viewer now so I can select from either the new icon (+ sign) and by selecting the package and selecting new report.
