Title: Very new to COGNOS
Post by: Azaa on 05 Mar 2017 07:12:00 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm a windows system administrator win7/server 2012 that has just been given a task to setup a shared instance of cognos for our userbase.
I have just come on board so I've never had any experience with cognos at all but ready to get my toes wet and jump in.

I have been reading through a lot of material and also setup cognos dev edition on a home lab for testing.

If any of you have some pointers that would help me in my journey here please feel free to chime in.

In the meantime I will be reading over documentation I have and browsing the forums.

Best Regards
Aaron

Welcome to the forum! If you can encourage your employer to send you on formal training it will be hugely beneficial. There are course suggestions and training path guidelines on the IBM site. Might be easiest to google to find the options. There are self-paced courses as well as instructor-led so you can choose based on time and budget.

Good luck!
