Title: Rows with Subsections
Post by: ajojeda on 01 Mar 2017 05:54:16 PM
I am very (and I mean very) new to Cognos. I am trying to make a report where a row lists the general description of a work order from the database and then immediately under that row it would list all associated labor with that work order.

What is the best way to accomplish this? I have tried searching over the past few days with no luck. Please see below for an example. Thanks in advance!

Example:

1    wonum       description     suffix     status    reportby

     -craft 1     quantity     hours

     -craft 2     quantity     hours

2   wonum       description     suffix     status    reportby

     -craft 1     quantity     hours

     -craft 2     quantity     hours

Hi,
Try to section the list by work order. Add workorder, craft, quantity, hours as list columns. Select the workorder column and select section from the menu item structure.
Good luck
