Title: How to move entire cognos FM model and reports from sql server to oracle
Post by: cgb on 28 Jan 2017 01:16:29 PM
I have a model in FM with sql server as source with around 80-90 query subjects. Now We want same model but only in oracle. Views are created in oracle.  If structure (naming conventions) of views and columns are not same in  sql server and oracle then how can we achieve this.

Do we need to recreate entire model from scratch  right from importing data from oracle views, creating business and presentation layer  or

Is there any way to use existing model by mapping to save time and efforts.

Well might you use the term mapping for there is a remapping tool in FM.
