I'm using cognos 8.1.2 MR2
While running one cross tab, the rows values and column values are getting repeated even if the values are same.
For Example : When I select customer_gender in crosstab as rows and cus_marital_status as columns and
one measure in cells, while running this report the customer_gender value 'M' is repeating twice in row values,
same the case with some other values of customer_gender.
Also if I filter for one row value of customer_gender(cus_gender = M) then also while running the cross tab in html its givining two rows but while running the cross tab in the pdf format I'm getting one row.why this is happening?
Ran the SQL Query generated by the cross tab report on the database,its giving me correct results, why the cognos viewer is not giving me the correct results.
Any body faced similar type of problem ? Do we need to raise ticket with cognos. Please help ASAP as its urgent.

Hi,
Is it possible that there are two 'M' values in your data - one containing just 'M' and the other 'M ' (M and a space)?
I wouldn't expect your grouping to return different results using different rendering types, so that part sounds odd, and if I were you I'd probably log it anyway, but I'd investigate the first point too!
