Title: Missing a column not null when generating report
Post by: backhandx on 18 Nov 2016 09:20:58 AM
Hi all,
I'm new on the dimensional reporting. I have a problem with displying a column.
I implement a crosstab with multiple data item from a dimentionnal model (please see the attachement). When I excute the report the column 500 is missing even if it is not null (because I manage to have data when I run the crosstab with the 500 column only).
Can anyone helpe me please!
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

What sort of dimensional package are you using, do you know? Is it a package over a real OLAP cube, or is it a DMR (Dimensionally Modelled Relational) package over a database? If the latter, do you know if you are using Compatible Query Mode or Dynamic Query Mode? If you can identify this, it will help us to understand what might be causing the behaviour you are seeing.

Cheers!

MF.

Thanks for your reply.
It is a MDR package. I don't have any idea if it is CQM or DQM. I work on 10.2

Ok - a DMR package. If you locate the package in Cognos Connection and go into the properties page for it, you will see a Query Mode setting on the General tab. What does it show?

I want to add that the missing column is a calculation.
Thanks for your help!
