Title: Is it possible use SQL Server Native Client 64 bits
Post by: aopinto on 10 Nov 2016 06:40:31 AM
Hi folks,

I am new here and I have a doubt about using a SQL Server database as a Cognos Data Source.

Can I install the SQL Server Native Client 64 bits on report server or only 32 bits ?

Thanks

If you want to connect to SQL Server using the native client, you need the 32-bit native client libraries installed on the Cognos server. If you want to connect to SQL Server via JDBC, you simply need the class 4 jdbc driver copying to the Cognos server.
