We had to do a hard shutdown on our prod server and when we tried to start the cognos service we get "CFG-ERR-0106 IBM Cognos Configuration did not receive a response..." when starting IBM Cognos service" A pic is attached. The ibm website points to tech note #1576139 as a possible fix with a corrupt tomcat file. The tech not does not exist though. We are running 10.2.1. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the tom cat file corruption? If so what did you do to fix it. We only have one envrionment so copying the file from a dev or test environment is not an option for us. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Can you please verify tomcat-users.xml file from tomcat/conf folder. Also if you can share cogserver.log file that will help to troubleshoot further on this scenario.
