Title: Cognos Analytics Samples
Post by: fry on 12 Oct 2016 10:14:39 AM
Hello

I just completed a quick install. I understand that Cognos is using Informix database for content store. How do I load samples into Informix ?

I see in Cognos Configuration informix user id, no idea what the password is or how I create the samples databases ?

Thanks

Hi,

Informix is the content store, not a reporting database. The samples data (ie the underlying tables that contain the reporting data) should be loaded into a reporting database, eg SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 etc.

To import the report and package definitions, you need to run a content import from the Admin console - this hasn't changed at all for Cognos Analytics.

Cheers!
