Hi,
How can I make my crosstab row heading appear in the report.
Any body have any idea on this.
Hi,
I don't understand what you are asking. Crosstab row headings appear at the beginning of each row when you run your crosstab report. Where else do you want to display them?
MF.
Please find the attached word doc, I wanted to create a cross tab in that manner, as you told me cross tab row heading will appear in the beging of each row when we run our report, but those are actually the data item values but not the Data item lables.
Oh - OK, I see what you want to do.
Go to the toolbox, and bring in a Crosstab Space (with text) above your first row heading. Then nest another one alongside this, then a third (ie one for each of your nested row headings).
Select the outer crosstab space, set the Source Type property to be 'Data Item Label' then select the relevant item in the Data Item Label property below this one. Repeat the process for your nested column space headings.
Regards,
MF.
Wow, cool.........., Thank you very much.
You're welcome! ;D
Just my $0.02, but I am not fond of the row of blank cells added above the measure area... below each column label.
This can be avoided by not adding the Crosstab Space, and instead adding the labels inside the Crosstab Corner.
Example attached.
Hi Rocky,
This was even better, but can you tell me how did you do this.
Venu.
1. Unlock the report (Click the blue lock toolbar button)
2. Insert a table into the Crosstab Corner, one column for each level of nesting on the Row Edge
3. Size the width of the Cells in the new "Header" table and the corresponding Row Edge cell
4. Drag text object or query item into each of the cells of the "Header" table
5. If using Query Items, change to use Query Item Label, instead of value.
You may have to play with the Crosstab Corners justification and organization (if there are other objects in there)
