Title: Consolidating Reports in Cognos
Post by: reverie on 12 Sep 2016 01:37:16 AM
Hi,

I'm currently working on 5 reports containing several report pages in it. Is there a way for me to combine them or create a navigation / menu which would group them altogether nicely and without having to consolidate all in just one report file?

Thanks.

You can create a nice "Menu" report, which does no data retrieval and has a single page. On this page, you put drill-through definitions to your five reports, and maybe a bit of info about each report alongside the link. If it fits your requirements, you can put each report several times, once with HTML format, once with PDF etc. etc. In fact, the possibilities are numerous. It all depends what your users want and need.

You can try using a Report Booklet (http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEP7J_10.2.2/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ug_cr_rptstd.10.2.2.doc/t_rpt_studio_create_rpt_booklet.html)

Hi again,

Thanks a lot on your suggestions. I'll try to create both and see how it goes.  ;D

you can try dashboard, dashboard pages. or a multi-page so you can have the reports as tabs.
