we are using workspace advanced to create reports. in these reports, we need to specify the default selection for the prompts. But we dont have this defalut selection property/option in this workspace advanced (10.2.2).
so, how can we specify these default values. please suggest me.

If you mean that you are creating prompts by choosing Show As Prompt option in filter selection and you want certain value to be defaulted to for the prompt every time user runs the report then you cannot define any default values in WSA. The only thing you can do is to select filter values and they will be hardcoded in the report definition.
If you really need a prompt page / prompts that default to a defined value you need to use Report Studio.

We created the custom user interface profile in cognos administration and enabled all the required properties like default selection for the Workspace Advanced.
