Title: Random Sampling

I would like to know if you could perform random sampling in report studio; it could be either the user selecting a sample of data (say a number) or the query itself calculates a random sample.

Sure, that should be possible with a DB side random function. BUt it would be specific to your database. Various DB systems approach RANDOM() differently.
