i have a crosstab report where i have a set from a geography hierarchy in the rows of the report. i would like to exclude japan from the calculated member in red. how to do?

Assuming [ASPAC Total] is a member and [JP] is a member, you can simply subtract one from the other

ie

[ASPAC Total] - [JP]
