Title: Security with SSAS cubes
Post by: clivenewman on 19 Jul 2016 09:38:05 PM
Hi All,

Require help..

I have created a SSAS cube where i have given access to different  dimension and level to diferent roles in SSAS. The roles where defined with users present in Active Directory.

I have imported the cube in framework manager and published it. When i login into the Cognos Portal using one of the users defined in roles which has been added in SSAS cubes, i can still see all the level and dimensions.

I basically need to import SSAS cube in Cognos with all the security(dimensional level) defined in SSAS since after importing the cube in Framework, it does not allow me to do anything with it except publish it.

Could anyone help me regarding this..

Regards,
Clive

Is the Cognos connection to the SSAS cube defined to use the credentials of the logged in user or is it using a service/proxy logon?
