A user in our company received the error message below when querying a cube :
RSV-CM-0004 The current user does not have the capabilities required to run the 'editAnalysisSpecification' operation. Contact your Administrator
He said that he gets this message after being idle for more than 5 minutes.
I "googled" this error everywhere but i didn't find any similar issue about the 'editAnalysisSpecification' operation. :-\
Does someone have an idea ?

Although there's nothing online regarding this specific error, the good news is the error is pretty clear -- there's likely a capability issue.
Try the following:
In Administration -> Security -> Capabilities, and set the properties for "Specification Execution". Make sure the user has execute and traverse permissions. Some of the Cognos services use inline specifications, and I'm wondering if some service is trying to interact while the user is idle.
I would still open a ticket with support for this. They should be able to get in touch with the developers and find more on this.
