When using ODBC connectivity, the client must have the proper dll/api's installed locally on the client. The connection defined on the LINUX server will only be used for any username/pwd combinations setup.

Things to keep in mind:
1. In the model, define the content manager datasource as defined on the server
2. The ODBC properties, on the client, must be identical to those on the server

Hope that helps,
B
