I have observed some very unusual behaviour while exploring the latest version of Cognos.
My instance is setup on my own cloud environment, where I have multiple machines running for different purposes.
1 Machine for Cognos
1 Machine for Database
1 Machine for active directory
1 Machine for Gateway
When I try to use a data module within the cloud environment, I am able to flawlessly work on anything and everything.
But, when I am trying to access the Analytics from outside of cloud environment, everything works well except the data modules. I am not sure why this is happening.
I have tried without gateway version of Cognos as well.
Do we need to have any other ports open except 9300 to make data module work properly?

I was able to resolve the issue by setting up the gateway.
Even I am getting the same error, May I know what changes you did at the Gateway level, can you please share the steps if possible. thanks

This issue will occur in case where you will use the Dispatcher URL directly.
Instead setup a gateway and access the environment through gateway URL, this will not impact the internal communication and will work.
I have this thing setup over SSL as well.
You can refer the installation guide for setting up of gateway.
In my case all the components were working fine except the Data Module, Dashboards and upload file. Can you please confirm the reporting is working fine for you.
