Hello
I have a base report that is produced in Report Studio in one folder, and a view of that report in another other folder. I want to hide the base folder and report from the same user/group that has access to the view report in another folder.
If I turn off Traverse from the base folder report, then the user is not able to execute the view ?
Thahnks
No guarantee but this might work:
Turn off execute (and give read&traverse) in the base report folder permissions -> users wont be able to navigate to that folder. Direct links (shortcuts, report views) should still work.
Remember to give execute permission to the base report.
Hello prikala,
unfortunately this suggestion doesnt work.
Turning off Execute and Allowing Read and Traverse solves the problem with accessing the report - the user cant run the base report, which is what we want (you are not authorized...)
but unfortunately the report view not running (you do not have permission to use this report...).
