Title: 10.2.2 FP5 breaks connection to 10.2.2 TM1 Data Source

I am installing BI 10.2.2 and put FP5 down as part of the installation.  When I test my data source connection to TM1, dynamic mode failes with this error:

XQE-PVD-0003 An error occurred while loading provider instance "NGTM1": XTM-JAP-0001 An attempt to initialize the TM1 API failed. The TM1 error code is: CannotInitializeAPI. The TM1 error message is: "Could not load tm1api.dll due to: ".

I installed a second instance in the same directory structure without any Fix Packs, and the same TM1 connection works fine in Dynamic mode.  I then put FP5 down on this second instance, and the TM1 data source is broken with the same error above.

I rolled back my test instance and put down FP4, and it works fine too.  So it appears that FP5 breaks Dynamic connections to TM1 data sources.

I am loathe to have to roll back my primary, multi-dispatcher install to FP4 unless that's my only choice.  Has anyone else seen this, or even better, have a suggested fix?

Hi,

The fix is to use 10.2.2. FP5+IF11 and TM1 10.2.2 FP5+IF1 (per IBM).

You also have to be sure to apply the same TM1 fix packs to the client installation directories as well (where the TM1 APIs are for your BI installation).  It resolved it for me anyway.

Editing to reflect that you need FP5, then appropriate Interim Fix after that.

For the TM1 client installs, must you be on FP5 to install IF1?  Can you point me to the IBM documenation on this?  Also can someone provide link to TM1 download link?

Hi,

I get the same error above, but we are on 10.2.2 FP7, both TM1 and BI. Do you know if the error is still related to the version?
