Title: Error occurred when create the join relationship
Post by: tuyendangduc on 20 May 2016 02:29:52 AM
Hi everyone,

I've installed Cognos Analytics 11.0.2 on Windows 10.
I've also created a Data Server connection to our Netezza database then I want to create a Data Module with the tables from this database.
But I got 2 errors:
1. In Selected sources frame: I don't see any table name from database schema I selected although I can see  the hierarchy tree and the table icons and drag them to Data module. You can refer to the attachment.
2. I've got the following error message when trying to Create a join relationship:
Failed to retrieve M1_DATE_DIMENSION data MSR-GEN-0009 Failed to get table data for module: "c9ab19621e0211298213b1dd723d4bcc6705891b_sessionTemp" using: "{moserFunctionType=getTableValues, resultCount=50, offset=0, module=c9ab19621e0211298213b1dd723d4bcc6705891b_sessionTemp, querySubject=M1_DATE_DIMENSION, outputType=columnar, autoSummary=false}"

Please help me to resolve these.

Best Regards,

Just out of curiosity, is your data source another module or is that table actually called m1_date_dimension?  Are the other tables similarly named?  Do you have tables with names that do not begin with Mn_ where n is a number?  Do they show up correctly?   If you expand the advanced section in the general tab of the query subject properties what is the value given to the identifier property?

If you import these tables into FM or Cube Designer are you successful?

What is the catalog and schema for these tables?

For the sake of completeness, is your jdbc driver correct for your netezza version?

Hi,

All tables do not begin with Mx_ but I don't know why Cognos generate this prefix.
I tried to import these tables into FM and the models work normally. I also used the correct jdbc driver for our netezza version.
This is Cognos Analytics 11.0.2 version but when I try to install a previous version 11.0.0, the system running normally.

Thanks for your support.
