Cognos 10.2.1 has a feature called "Order folders and entries" that allows the user to define the default "sort" order of the items within a folder. This is found in the Order button at the far right end of the toolbar when viewing a folder in Cognos Connection. I haven't found this in Cognos Analytics. Does Cognos Analytics Portal have this feature? Where is it?
I bet this is one of the features that has not been migrated yet.
Anyone find a way to do this yet in Cognos 11? I'm poking around Release 5 and haven't found it yet.

There's nothing I've seen that allows this...
MF.
We would also like the feature to be able to order the entries in a folder list added to Cognos Analytics (Cognos 11). We have submitted an RFE to IBM. Please check out the link below and consider voting for it. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=101720
As you are well aware, this feature is available in Cognos 10. We use it today to order the entries in our "Packages" folder. We have about 100 packages. Today, we use the feature to "sticky" our 8-10 most used packages to the top of the folder list. This saves the majority of our users a lot of unnecessary scrolling as the most used packages are readily accessible at the top of the folder list. Thanks for considering!!
Click forder you want sort > Click switch view ( icon arrow in right header ) > You can see Name all forder > click sort
glhf !
Not the same thing. Sure, what you posted allows you to sort the entries in the folder, ascending, descending. This feature enhancement request is to allow one to specify the order of the items in a folder. For example, you have a folder with 50 items. However, the "TPS" report is the most used report and you want that report to be listed first in the folder list (rather than down at the bottom), followed by all the rest of the reports in alphabetical order. You can do this in Cognos 10. It's almost like creating a sticky entry. See this for more info AND VOTE!!! http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=101720
Bonus points for "TPS report" reference! Hahahahaha.... :D
If you work in corporate America and have not seen Office Space, you should. :)

This RFE was marked as a duplicate. Here is the first request link.

Unfortunately IBM has declined this request and closed it. However, users still have the ability to vote on this and it may be revisited.
There are more than a few duplicates, most of which are not actually marked as duplicate.
Here's the one I found that they are working on:
