Hello
I understand that planning analytics consists of tm1 10.3, bi 10.2.2, and some watson like functionality.
I was wondering how it compares to on premise (tm1 plus bi).
Thoughts
Thanks
Stuart

TM1 on-prem is currently 10.2.2, and BI is currently 11 (Cognos Analytics), so you're looking at different versions across the board currently.

Hi MFGF
Thanks for your reply.
On re-reading I did not write my original post as well I should have.
I know we are talking different versions between planning analytics and on premise. I guess what I was asking was if anyone with existing TM1 knowledge has used planning analytics and can share thoughts.
My current employer "may" move from 'Cognos Planning 10.1.1 and BI 10.2.2' to 'TM1 10.x and BI10.2.2'. On premise v cloud is a consideration. The solution may be a mix of the two. My post is to ask if anyone has any strong thoughts/considerations.
(FYI Im a Planning person with a little TM1).
Thanks
Stuart
The differences between 10.3 (cloud) and 10.2.2 (on prem) are very slight - though I strongly suggest you avoid the new rules performance monitor feature at present.
At someone from an EP background you may be inclined to use Performance Modeler but this does not have a good reputation in the developer community.
TM1 Cloud includes BI 10.2.2 but this is licensed for TM1 content only.
I would be interested to hear what IBM pitch for prospects who want to do BI and TM1 in the cloud as I think the two development streams have diverged quite significantly and there is work to be done to bring them back together.
Is there a possibility on utilizing Tm1 10.3 (planning analytic) with BI 11 (Cognos Analytic) ?
TM1 10.3 is only in Planning Analytics (Cloud) at the moment. Planning Analytics although using Cognos BI 10.2.x does have a Cognos 11 GUI feel.
TM1 10.2.x is on premise. TM1 10.3 will come to on premise, but I do not know when.
