Hi there
I am working in 10.2.2 and writing a report against a cube - just using the sample "sales and marketing.mdc" cube to troubleshoot for now.
Problem is that none of the functions that return sets (eg set, filter) seem to work. If I drag a query calculation onto my crosstab, there are no issues if for example I choose "Set Expression", and then select relevant items to form part of the set (once you have defined the set for the first time, and then want to edit it subsequently, you work in the "graphical" "Set Definition" dialog box).
However, if when I drag the query calculation on, and choose "Other Expression", things don't work if I use the dimensional functions (eg set, filter).
For example, the following expression throws up parsing errors:
set([Camping Equipment],[Mountaineering Equipment])
For the record - I did drag in these items, rather than typing them in.
Any ideas? I have not done dimensional reporting for a good year (or two), but remember using the dimensional expressions on previous versions quite happily
Many thanks!!!
Regards
Chris

Can you share the errors you are seeing? Also, do you see errors when you use the report spec I have attached? It's a crosstab report written over the sample great outdoors sales powercube, and using a set expression ("Other" type calculation) in the rows.
Cheers!
