Does anybody has any doc with cognos best practices for creating a data warehouse on Db2 database (mainframe) to be used by cognos series 7 products ?
I will create a database on DB2 Server to be my data warehouse repository and my question is it exists any cognos best practice to create this database ? Maybe something that can improve access, performance or specific parameter for this situation. My environment is z/oS and I´ll use cognos series 7 version 3.

I think you should be considering sites more specific to data storage and data warehouse design as the actual design should not be overly influenced by the toolset, but rather by the intended use.
The cognos site has stack of Proven Practice Documents that contain some very relevant information, but I did not see anything specific to DB2 mainframe.
You might also want to have a look at: http://www.kimballgroup.com/html/designtips.html (unless of course you're adopting the Inmon approach).
The DB2 technical considerations you would have to concern yourself with would probably also be more readily answered in the DB2 / IBM sites & forums.
I've just returned from an assignment using DB2 UDB 8 and BO in the US, and I must admit that it was not as simple as an Oracle or MS SQL environment i.e. nice technology, but very difficult re all the parameters and settings - probably not as bad on a mainframe environment.

Sorry, I think I was not clear. My doubt is not related the way to modeling a data warehouse but at the moment that I´m creating the database to store my data warehouse. I contact IBM and they ask me if cognos does not have any specific advice for creating this database, for example IBM´s guy advices me do not put OLTP Database together with DW database at the same instance because this can cause some conflicts (intra_paralell).
You said that you had worked at a BO project with Db2, you know if the database (at Db2) was created with standard configuration ?
