Title: String value in multi-dimensional report
Post by: missspeedy23 on 19 Apr 2016 04:31:31 AM
I have a cube in TM1 that is published to Cognos Connection via Framework Manager. I am trying to create a report in Report Studio that shows the comments (string value) that are held in TM1 but I am just getting two dashes instead of the string.

Having Googled it, it seems as though this is not possible to do - does anyone know if this is correct and if there's a way around it?

Is this in a list report or a crosstab report?

It's in a crosstab (I didn't think you could use multdimensional data sources in a list?)

Yes - you can. However, I assume you're trying to display a text attribute in the cells of a crosstab here? The issue isn't that it's multidimensional, it's that crosstabs can only display measure values in the cells.

Cheers!
