Title: Showing decmial places on pie charts
Post by: Sher123 on 02 Mar 2016 02:45:42 AM
Hi,

I have created a pie chart report and due to the rounding s the pie chart doesn't add up to a 100%, therefore I have been asked if the pie chart can show the first decimal place, I haven't found any tool on report studio to allow me to show that single decimal place therefore wanted to ask if anyone knew how to show that decimal place on the pie chart. I have produced duplicate of the pie chart which uses percentage rather than a actual count of the figure but then problem is that I cant display the count, and when concatenating the percentage and the count together there were errors in the report. Therefore does anyone know how to show the first decimal place on a pie chart percentage as well as showing the count figure? (Screenshots below)

I can't see any screenshots I'm afraid, but if you need percentages to 1 decimal place I'd argue in the first place that a pie chart is the wrong vehicle for your data. Take a read of this when you get a chance

Another option might be to keep your pie chart and have a table of the figures next to it - that way you can show them to whatever level of precision you need.
