Below is the guide instruction to create a report view
How is a report view is created in Cognos Analytics Report Studio
"If you want to run an existing report, but run it with different prompt values, schedules, delivery methods, run options, languages, or output formats, you can create a report view. Creating a report view does not change the original report.
To create a report view, run a report using the prompt values or other run options that you want and in the save options, select Save as report view. Your prompt values and run options are saved in the view. If you want to edit the prompt values for the report view, open the report view properties panel.
In the properties panel for the report view, you can see a link to the source report. If the source report is moved to another location, the report view link is maintained. If the source report is deleted, the report view link breaks.
Agents can also be saved as views."
When i follow these instructions I only get save as options of Save As & Save As a Query Studio Template.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a resolution.

Hi,
The options you describe are what you see when you are in "Edit" mode for a report. There is a button on the toolbar that looks like a pencil - this toggles you between "Consume" and "Edit" modes for reports.
Toggle back to "Consume" mode and use the Save option - you will then see the option to save a report view.
