Title: How to see which user ran a report/accessed a data source in Cognos
Post by: dwsupport1 on 19 Jan 2016 04:45:24 PM
We are using Cognos 10.2.2
Reporting Database is Oracle 12.1
While creating a data source connection in Cognos, we have specified the UserID and Password that has read access to that particular database.
Several users now run reports using that data source. In oracle audit, it shows the userid that was used to create the data source in Cognos.
HOw do we know the actual user who was running a particular query with a 'User Defined SQL' using that data source.
How to get the User's own Active Directory credentials passed on to Oracle Audit?
Is there some setting at data source level in Cognos that can help us achieve this?

Try experimenting with data source command blocks: https://www-304.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEP7J_10.2.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ug_cra.10.2.0.doc/c_usedatabasecommands.html%23UseDatabaseCommands
