Title: TM1 aliases in Report Studio Report
Post by: missspeedy23 on 19 Jan 2016 09:42:19 AM
I have a TM1 data source that I want to use in a crosstab. In the columns I want the lowest level of the dimension and also use one of the aliases that is in TM1 (a nicer description!). Is this possible as I'm struggling to work out how to do it.

Hi,

TM1 Aliases need to be selected (or not) when going through the process of adding a data source connection to TM1 - these choices then get published into the package you are working with. If you can't see the aliases automatically then you're going to need your Admin to republish the package (or another version of the package) with the aliases enabled.

Cheers!

MF.

I can see the alias (i.e. Reporting Month) but when I drag that into the report it just doesn't seem to work correctly - there are a lot of blank rows on my crosstab and I'm not really sure whether I need to do something other than bring it into the report?
