Hi Cognos People!!
I have a weird Problem with a Report.
The Report "A" have to pass 3 Parameters to another Report "B" throw a "drill through"
Type
Group
Name
the 3 of them are actually in the Report "A" (100% sure)
the Problem is that the Report "A" pass perfect to "B" 2 of them "Type" and "Group" but i dont know why "Name" no. the Report is waiting that you manual choose the 3° Parameter , "Name".
(if like the 3° Parameter you choose another think like "Color" , the Report run but of course with no date, but run, with "Name" is waiting like if it doenst exist any Name, but Exist)
I dont have any clue why that is Happening.
Does anyone have the same Problem before with something similar?

What "METHOD" and "PROPERTY TO PASS" are you defining in the drill through definition?

Like "METHOD" i m giving "date element " ( my cognos is in german and i m not sure if is exactly ) but basically you have 3 choose in "Method" 1) Parameter, 2)data element 3) Parameter without element
I am giving the 2° , but ist acting like 3°
And i m not giving "PROPERTY TO PASS" .

Is the "NAME" column a parameter from a prompt or is it just a data item you are passing to Report B?
If from a prompt you should choose "PARAMETER" in the method column, if just a data item, it should be set to "data element".

Yes i know. "Name" is just a data item, so i choose "data element". the strange Thing is that all of them are the same
Type
Group --> they are all data item
Name
with type and Group work but with Name no. I know the question ist ambiguous, I just writed in case someone hat anytime the same Problem ,

Hi,
Is the Name item included in the report container (ie list/crosstab/chart) in your source report? I'm guessing it might be in the query but not included in the container?

The true ist that the "Name" item was not included in the source Report but the others items "type" and "Name" neither and they worked.
Anyway i tryed to included and didnt work too :(( , ( I m sure that the Problem come from the source Report "A" , cause i tried trhow another Report "C" past the same Parameters to "B" and worked, but i dont have any Idee what is happening )
